Resolutions, anybody?
I know what mine are.
1. My biggest is probably to be less shy around people. On the internet I don't think I seem shy but when I'm talking to people, even people I know, I'm constantly nervous and shy and I never know what to say.
2. Be less over-competitive. I just have a tendency to take things too far sometimes. The day before break started, I accidentally almost shut my friend's head in his locker. Long story short, he kept shutting my locker one day while I was at it, and I spent over a month trying to get him back for it. I finally had the perfect chance the day before break, but I wasn't focused on how close he was to the locker, and as soon as I pushed the door he leaned forward and... yeah. It was a really close call, it actually grazed the top of his head.
3. Blog. For the entire year. Last year this was my goal but with a hand-written journal but I only made it about halfway through November.
Oh my gosh, that's something that would happen to me. I have really bad timing for that kind of thing. How did he react? What did he say?
ReplyDeleteI journal as well but not as often as I blog, unless I'm really upset or confused about something I don't journal. My new years resolutions are:
1. To be more active (I've joined a gym)
2. Have my room the way I want it
3. Learn to play a song on the guitar
4. Look over things that I've learned at school for an hour when I come home
5. Revise a few nights before I have a test
6. Learn to use hair-straightners and hair curlers (I must be the only fourteen year old that doesn't straighten or curl their own hair.)
7. When something good happens write it down and put it in a jar, at the end of the year open the jar and be reminded of all the good things that have happened throughout the year. (This isn't really a resolution it's just a thing that I want to do.)
8. Complete my Duke Of Edinburgh Award (Bronze)
9. Experience a white Christmas
10. Decorate my room for Christmas
11. Be happy with the subjects I've chosen for fourth year
12. Carry on photography
13. Find a way to relax (Sounds weird but lately I've been stressed out a lot)
So yeah.......
He told me my entire problem was that I took things too far and I was too competitive.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't worry, I know how to use straighteners and curling irons but I always burn myself and my hair is too thick for it to stay anyway. And last week with my hair getting stuck... yeah. You're not the only one.
Good post! And half way through November is actually almost there! I've only ever managed to keep at a journal for about three months so far, but I started one in September and I'm still going with it, so hopefully I'll make a whole year with that.
ReplyDeleteI haven't really got any new year's resolutions except to write more often. I never really find the time any more.
And you are not the only one. I have never picked up a hair curler/ straightener in my life (okay, I'm only thirteen and a half, but still).
Thanks guys for making me feel better about it, and yes Mckenna I already read about the curler incident. XD
